Laughter has landed in Central Park

Have you met Laughter?
A beautiful Dolphin has landed in Central Park

Laughter is a part of a huge pod of wildly colourful dolphin sculptures painted by local artists that have swam into Perth as part of a mass public art exhibition to raise mass awareness and valuable funds for Perth Children’s Hospital, Child and Adolescent Mental Health unit.Funds raised will initiate innovative programs at Perth Children's Hospital for children and adolescents with severe mental health disorders who are at significant risk.

Mental health is one of the three most important issues for young Western Australians. Compared to five years ago, four times as many young people are presenting to Emergency Departments with mental health crises including repeated self-injury and attempted suicide.

The Big Splash WA is a vibrant art event that will take place in the streets, parks and public spaces of Perth and surrounds from 18 January - 4 March 2018. This interactive art display will be a spectacular sculpture trail for all to enjoy, and taking the family for a day out to visit the dolphins will be a must-do activity.
