Water Conservation

Central Park holds a 31/2 star NABERS Water rating.

Water use on site is carefully managed and has been gradually reduced over the life of the building through minor improvements including the fitting of flow restrictors to all hand basin taps and the installation of AAA rated shower heads.

Park watering systems are controlled with an advanced reticulation controller incorporating a weather station that automatically adjusts the watering times down in cooler weather.

More recently, a program to progressively refurbish the toilets in the building has commenced that involves replacement of all toilets with dual flush units together with the installation of AAA rated tapware.

The results achieved have been recognised by the Water Corporation who has used Central Park as a case study to promote the efficient use of water. Click here to view case study (PDF)
