Train stations

The Central Park building is located within walking distance to three main train stations.
  • Wellington Street Train Station: located approximately 1km away from Central Park. The easiest way to get to Central Park from this train station is by following the underground path from Wellington Street to the Perth Underground Station. This takes approximately 6 minutes.
  • Esplanade Train Station: located approximately 350 meters from Central Park. Walking up William Street and turning left onto St Georges Terrace to get to Central Park will take 6 minutes.
  • Perth Underground Train Station: located approximately 200 meters from Central Park. It takes approximately 3 minutes to walk up William Street to get to Central Park.

Train Lines

There are five train lines that service the Perth CBD. The trains servicing these lines run as often as every 4 minutes during peak times.

Armadale/Thornlie Line: stops at the Wellington Street train station.
Fremantle Line: stops at the Wellington Street train station.
Joondalup Line: stops at both the Perth Underground and Esplanade train stations.
Mandurah Line: stops at both the Perth Underground and Esplanade train stations.
Midland Line: stops at the Wellington Street train station.

Bus routes

Many of the Transperth bus routes have stops outside the Central Park building on Hay Street, William Street and St Georges Terrace. For more information on the bus services please visit http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au.

Cat Buses

Both the Red Cat Bus and Blue Cat Bus stop outside the Central Park building.  These are free services.

The blue CAT runs in a north south direction from Barrack Street Jetty to Northbridge. This service runs Monday to Thursday, 6:50am until 6:20pm, Fridays from 6:50pm until 1:00am, Saturdays from 8.30am until 1.00am, and Sundays from 10.00am until 7:00pm. There is a blue cat bus stop on St Georges Terrace outside the Central Park building. The blue CAT runs every 8 minutes during business hours, and every 15 minutes outside of business hours.

The red CAT travels in an east west direction from Queens Gardens in East Perth to Outram Street in West Perth, with CAT buses running Monday to Thursday, 6:00am until 7:30pm, Fridays from 6:00am until 9:00pm and weekends from 8:30am until 7:00pm. The closest stop to the Central Park building is on Hay Street next to the Park. The red CATS run approximately every 5-10 minutes.

Cycling

A variety of facilities are provided for the parking of bicycles. Refer to the bicycle facilities.

There are several cycle paths that provide access from both the northern and southern suburbs and into the Perth CBD. These cycle paths include:
  • Fremantle to Perth CBD cycle path
  • Midland to Perth CBD cycle path
  • The Mitchell Freeway cycle path
  • Causeway cycle path
